UpDown Blinds is a small Canberra-based company specialising in the import and distribution of german-made pleated and honeycomb blinds.

We are associated with Sensuna, leaders in the European blind industry. Sensuna are dedicated to quality and durability, contemporary design and styles, and environmentally-friendly manufacture and distribution processes.

The UpDownBlinds team's goal is to provide energy-efficient window treatments that are practical, stylish and of superb quality to suit the challenging conditions of the Australian climate.

German design and quality

UpDown Blinds is the Australian specialist dealer for German-made Sensuna blinds. Sensuna pleated and honeycomb blinds are produced exclusively in Germany using modern and environmentally friendly techniques, resulting in blinds of superb quality, workmanship and design. The high-tech cellular structure and protective coating of the fabrics ensure their suitability to harsh thermal conditions. Using the specialised Decomatic aluminium head and base rail system, the blinds are also lightweight, sturdy, and easy to install and operate. These blinds are made to last.

Sensuna is at the forefront of blind manufacture, with efficient and automated manufacturing techniques resulting in environmentally conscious, low waste and low pollutant production methods. All Sensuna blinds are certified to the stringent STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX®, a worldwide consistent, independent testing and certification system for textile products and their accessories. The majority of machines used are automated and powered by compressed air, which means they work quietly, cleanly and efficiently. Specialised software ensures that fabrics and rail systems are cut with minimal waste, and that several production processes are effectively combined. After careful quality control of each individual product, finished blinds are packed through a patented system that uses cut-to-size recyclable packaging material without the need for adhesives or padding materials, further minimising environmental impacts.
